International Mother Tongue Day
On February 21st, from 2.00 pm to 3.15 pm, Brockton will celebrate the linguistic diversity of our community with Mother Tongue Day. On that day, students are encouraged to bring traditional clothing of their homeland to wear in the afternoon (school uniform in the morning) and parents and guests are invited to join from 2.45pm. Foreign books donations are also welcome! If you wish to volunteer for the event, it’s not too late! Please contact M. Mailfert (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
We are looking for volunteers to host a booth about their home country and proudly share their language and culture (alphabet, books, music, food, costumes, traditions, flags…). Please contact Mr. Mailfert (email@example.com) for details or volunteering.
FOREIGN LANGUAGES BOOKS DONATION
We are now looking for donations of books in foreign languages to keep supporting our students’ mother tongue. Foreign books (especially for children) are quite hard to find in Canada and our library has a small international literature section that we would like to expand. Please contact our Junior School library, Ms Martz (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have used books that you would like to donate
