Brockton School Prioritizes Mental Health Awareness

Brockton School prioritizes mental health awareness. This year your Sr school Health and Wellbeing Community Action Team have been working on raising awareness and sharing strategies to support mental wellbeing in school.

On Tuesday Nov 28th, our Grade 8-12 students had guest speakers Jessie and Sarah from Jack.org present. Jack.org is a charity that trains and empowers young leaders who are revolutionizing mental health. They are working towards a Canada where all young people understand how to take care of their own mental health and look out for each other. A Canada without shame, and where all those that need support, get the help they deserve. With a national network of 2500 young leaders, they’re only just getting started.

To continue this conversation the Brockton's Health and Wellbeing Community Action Team spoke with the Jr school about what stress is and how to handle it during the Wednesday assembly. We will continue to have these conversations across the school as the year goes on!

We all have mental health.
