National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration at Brockton: June 21

Brockton School is excited to welcome our community to the National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration on Thursday June 21, led by Brockton graduates Michael Billy and David Mwita. The event will start at 2 pm in the Brockton gymnasium, with students seated in their house teams. This event celebrates and honours Indigenous cultures, and is an opportunity for sharing and building connections in our school community. You can expect to be part of a special, interactive afternoon, and we hope you can make it. Through the aid of esteemed guests Reeva Billy and Shaloh Mitchell, we will be sharing in acknowledging traditional territories, learning about the significance of National Indigenous Peoples Day, and participating in a Maori Haka (ceremonial dance). As this is a dynamic event we may have a soft finish. The expected dismissal time is 3:00 pm.
