Congratulations Jess!
Jess joined the Brockton community in Grade 8, and is older sister to Justin (class of 2026) and Abby (class of 2030). Her earliest Brockton memory is hearing Baba Yetu being played by the SSE for the first time at the 2019 Centennial concert. Jess’ teachers describe her as extremely self-aware, a diligent student, and a compassionate friend. If she could give the younger students any advice, it would be to take opportunities to learn about yourself, and prioritize maintaining a healthy, happy, and balanced lifestyle.
Jess is the Co-Chair for the Community Action Team for Health and Wellness (CAT-HW), where she has helped plan school-wide initiatives including Mental Health Week, Move for Movember, and PJs with a Purpose. She is currently a member of the World Music Program Senior Specialized Ensemble, where she has recently performed at the Brio Music Festival in Whistler. Over the years, Jess has been a member of Brockton’s track and field teams and is amongst the top NSSSAA shot put and discus athletes in the area.
Next year, Jess will be pursuing a degree at UBC. Congratulations Jess, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you!
