Congratulations, Lochlan!
Lochlan began attending Brockton in Grade 9. His first memory is sitting in the Greater Good class while touring the school, when Ms. Freeborn and Mr. Dyck gave a demonstration of non-compassionate communication. This stuck with him throughout his years, and the Brockton faculty describes Lochlan as being a kind and compassionate communicator and student. Lochlan believes that Brockton has inspired him to be a leader in the community and become much more confident in his own abilities.
Lochlan has been an active member in Brockton’s extra curricular opportunities, and currently is the Co-Chair of the Community Action Team for Environmental Responsibility (CAT-ER). He was a member of the mountain biking team, where he attended provincials in Victoria. Lochlan was also on the Senior Boys basketball team over the past 2 seasons, where he enjoyed the opportunity to support his teammates and school. Lochlan is currently a part of the World Music Program’s Senior Specialized Ensemble (SSE). His highlight as a musician at Brockton was the Con Brio Festival in Whistler in his Grade 11 year.
Next year, Lochlan plans to pursue his studies at either UBC or the University of Victoria. Brockton wishes you all the best in your future endeavors!
