Congratulations, Kayra!
Kayra began attending Brockton in Grade 7, and remembers the feeling of instantly getting along with her classmates, making friends easily, and not feeling like an outsider at all. In her time here she has formed many strong connections with her peers and faculty, and says she is grateful for all the teachers who have made an impact on her. If Kayra could give advice to the younger Brockton students, it would be to focus in class, but not to forget to have fun and enjoy your Senior School years.
Kayra is the current Director of Communication for the Community Action Team for School Spirit (CAT-SS), where she has supported the planning and execution of various school-wide events, including the Terry Fox Run and Brockton’s first ever Spirit Week. Kayra is also a member of the World Music Program’s Senior Specialized Ensemble, and is looking forward to the upcoming Europe trip this summer.
Next year, Kayra will be heading east, attending either McGill or Queens University, with the ultimate goal of becoming a doctor. Good luck, Kayra, on all your future adventures!
