Congratulations, Sarah!
Sarah joined Brockton in Grade 10. Her first memory is meeting her classmate, Massai, and getting to take on education through a new perspective, which she admits took a bit of time to get used to. Sarah attributes Brockton to inspiring her to be a more thoughtful person. She feels the community has engaged her through multiple experiences, and she has become a more critical thinker.
In her Grade 12 year, Sarah joined the World Music Program’s Senior Specialised Ensemble for the first time, where the rush of the music and community “enlightens” her each week. Her advice for the younger Brockton students is to own who they are and try not to be influenced by others too easily. She also encourages future grads to ask for help, even more than they think they should.
Next year, Sarah will be attending McGill University to study political science. Good luck, Sarah, on your future studies and beyond!
