An independent co-ed IB school (JK to Grade 12) in North Vancouver, Canada
October 4th 2021

With athletics up and running, the team chemistry is building and the ‘Go Grizzlies’ chants are getting louder! Our junior teams are gearing up for their first games next week including the Grade 6/7 Girl's Volleyball, Grade 4/5 Boy's Soccer, and Grade 4/5 Girl's Volleyball teams.

Senior Volleyball: It has been a very busy week for the Senior Volleyball team with 10 matches in 5 days, for a total of 17 matches in the month of September. The team fought hard in the two-day Trinity Western University tournament, playing against some of the top teams in BC. The Grizzlies beat Unity Christian (currently ranked #6 in BC for Single A schools), who they have never previously defeated. Jamie Dunsterville was named Player of the Tournament for his “fire” play as an outside hitter/server.

Next week, we have 4 matches, including two home matches hosted at Parkgate and Mickey McDougall gyms against Seycove, Argyle, St. Pat’s and our GVISSA/Vancouver Sea to Sky rival, Vancouver Christian. These will be the first Senior Volleyball matches Brockton has ever hosted. Go Grizzlies!

Cross Country: This week, Brockton launched the first ever Senior Cross Country league team. The first meet was at Ambleside and the students ran brilliantly. Next up, the ISA Cross Country Championships will take place on Tuesday, October 5th and the next league meet is on Thursday, October 7th.
