THIS WEEK IN OUTDOOR EDUCATION

We have had a wonderfully busy start to our Outdoor Education season with trips heading out in both the Junior and Senior school. Our Grade 3s had the opportunity to travel to the Cheakamus Centre to participate in the Skw’une-was Cultural Immersion program; our Grade 4s travelled up the Indian Arm to Camp Jubilee; our Grade 5s travelled to Camp Summit to mountain bike, climb high ropes, and practice archery; and our 6 and 7s kayaked in Deep Cove and hiked in the forests of Lynn Canyon.

Our Outdoor Education program aims to offer Brockton students the opportunity to explore southwestern British Columbia’s varied landscapes, develop personal leadership skills, practice authentic collaboration and community building, and be safely introduced to a variety of healthy and lifelong outdoor pursuits. Make sure to ask your child about their favourite moments from Outdoor Education, we are sure there will be many stories to tell.
