An independent co-ed IB school (JK to Grade 12) in North Vancouver, Canada
October 25th 2021

An ISEA Cross Country Championships gold medal, the highest ever varsity ranking for the Senior Volleyball team, and some fresh goal-scorers on the soccer field. It has been another brilliant week of Athletics at Brockton!

ISEA Cross Country Championships:

Brockton participated in the 2021 Junior ISEA Championships on October 19th. We had 27 Brockton students from Grades 3-7 participate in the run at Jericho Beach Park in Vancouver. Their coaches, Ms. O'Connor, Ms. Loewen, and Ms. Zhai, were blown away yet again with all their Grizzly heart and spirt.

We had beautiful weather, ocean views, and a tough trail route. Congratulations to all of our Brockton students who finished strong!
A big congratulations to Lander Stafford who finished in 1st Place in the Grade 3 event and Sophie Moat who finished 4th in the Grade 6 event.

Grade 4/5 Soccer:

The soccer team had their second matches against Meadowridge and Urban Academy. They picked up one win, a draw, and a couple of defeats with goal-scorers William, Calum, and Jason putting Brockton on the board!

Senior Volleyball:

“This week, the big movers were both from North Vancouver: The Argyle Pipers at 3A and the Brockton Grizzlies at 1A.”  Featured in varsity letters this week, the Senior Volleyball team reached their highest ever BC ranking.

Another win this week over Seycove, before a hard fought defeat against Sentinel has the team sitting well in both their NSSSAA and GVISSA divisions. They also made their way to the Sunshine Coast for matches against Elphinstone and Chatelech Schools. Way to go, Grizzlies!
