THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS

STEP 1: DISCOVER BROCKTON

Start by exploring our website for information about the school, our programming, fees, and culture. However, it isn’t until you engage with Brockton and experience for yourself the special feeling that our community has, that you will understand Brockton’s magic – we invite you participate in one of our Admissions Events listed above to get a more fulsome view of our school.

Next, if you haven’t already done so, complete an online inquiry form using the red INQUIRE button on the right side of our website. This will help us stay connected, answer your questions, and invite you to any upcoming events. Once you complete an inquiry form, you will be sent information specific to your program of interest.

STEP 2: APPLY

Consider our dates and deadlines, and when you are ready to apply, visit our website and click the “Apply” button to create an account in our parent portal, and follow the steps to completing the application. A non-refundable fee of $300 is due at the time of application.

STEP 3: COMPLETE ADMISSIONS CHECKLIST ITEMS

The next step in the process is to ensure that you complete all school forms, upload required documentation, and track your progress via the student checklist in your parent portal. All required documents will appear in your Application Checklist within the portal.

Please note that applications are not considered complete until we receive all supporting documentation.

STEP 4: SCHEDULE ASSESSMENTS

Student applicants are required to participate in an entrance assessment to determine ‘fit’ and evidence of the applicant’s potential for success within our program. Parents will also be invited to meet with a member of our admissions/leadership team for a personal interview. These can be booked in your Admissions checklist. Following the assessment, applicants will be contacted by email to establish next steps.

STEP 5: DECISIONS

Student selection is based on both academic and non-academic considerations.

Considerations for admission include, but are not limited to:

The ‘fit’ of the child and family with the school.
The availability of space and class composition at the particular grade level.
Character traits such as curiosity, independence, responsibility, self-discipline, and creativity.

Please note: all admissions decisions will be communicated February through April for those meeting recommended deadlines.

BROCKTON ENTRY BOND PROGRAM

The Brockton Entry Donation/ Bond Program forms an important part of the School’s financing model. This program is mandatory beginning at the Kindergarten level. Participation is not required at the Junior Kindergarten level. We have two different options for families entering from K-9, and a special Diploma Entry Bond for those students starting at Brockton in grade 10, 11 or 12.

OPTION 1: BROCKTON ENTRY BOND

A one-time bond payment of $20,000 is given to the school. This Bond resides with Brockton for the duration of enrollment (minimum 3-year holding period). This is a non-interest bearing investment of which the principal will be returned when the family leaves the school.

OPTION 2: BROCKTON ENTRY DONATION

In lieu of an entry bond, families can give the school a one-time donation of $15,000. This donation is used towards meaningful initiatives meant to advance the school and support students’ learning. Donations are an essential and significant aspect of successful independent school development. As a not-for-profit organization, we issue charitable tax receipts for all qualifying donations.

OPTION 3: BROCKTON DIPLOMA ENTRY BOND

Available to students entering Brockton for the first time to grade 10, 11, or 12. A one-time bond payment of $10,000 is given to the school. This Bond resides with Brockton for the duration of enrollment (minimum 3-year holding period). This is a non-interest bearing investment of which the principal will be returned when the family leaves the school.

OPTION 4: BROCKTON DIPLOMA ENTRY DONATION

In lieu of an entry bond, families can give the school a one-time donation of $5,000. This donation is used towards meaningful initiatives meant to advance the school and support students’ learning. As a not-for-profit organization, we issue charitable tax receipts for all qualifying donations.
