Job Summary:
Brockton School is currently seeking a full-time Junior School French teacher. The French teacher will work collaboratively with members of the JK-Grade 5 PYP team, the Languages Department Chair, and with other members of Faculty/Staff. As a member of the teaching team, this teacher will report to the Divisional Director and to the PYP Coordinator.
Requirements:

Job Summary:
The Admissions Officer will help us in our mission “to inspire the growth of outstanding humans.” As part of the administrative team, the Admissions/Enrollment Officer will play a key role in supporting our Admission and Enrollment processes by ensuring an effective process with prospective families, applicants, re-enrolling families, and supporting numerous admissions/enrollment and other advancement related processes, activities, and events.
The Admissions Officer will report to the Director – Admissions, and have considerable interface with many parts of the Brockton staff and community, including Administrative Staff, Marketing & Communications, Community Engagement and Development (Advancement), the Business Office, Brockton Faculty, our Parent and Student Community, as well as many External Stakeholders.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Communicate promptly and effectively with prospective parent inquiries and assists all families as they navigate the online inquiry-admissions-enrollment processes
- Support all admissions, enrollment and re-enrollment processes including written correspondence and required follow-up
- Create, schedule, and maintain booking calendars – campus tours, discovery calls, parent interviews, assessments, etc.
- Coordinate interviews and follow-up process with applicant families
- Ensure required admissions and enrollment documents are received, accurate, and complete
- Ensure admission and enrollment files are accurate and compliant with BC Ministry of Education and associated requirements
- Maintain admissions and enrollment data
- Work with the Registrar and IT Data Manager to export data within the admissions and enrollment system and other databases such as the School Information System
- Support data reporting within the Admissions and Enrollment database system for use of stakeholders across departments
- Maintain required Residency/Visa documents and expiration dates, and create enrollment letters for follow-up if required
- Support the planning and execution of admissions events including tours, orientations, receptions, open houses, and assessment & interview sessions
- Manage the Buddy Family program, Student Ambassador, and Parent Ambassador Programs
- Assign House Teams for incoming students
- Manage team drive for Admissions/Enrollment documents ensuring files are organized and available to all stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, Communications, and Community Development
- Develop innovative strategies for the attraction, retention, and enrollment plans in coordination with the Advancement team
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Experience in Administration preferably with Admissions experience
- Knowledge of Independent Schools is an asset
- Strong administrative, data management, and computer skills
- Experience with database software an asset (as well as a demonstrated aptitude to learn)
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet timelines and prioritize
- Ability to adapt well to change
- Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate to be part of a team

Job Summary:
The Academic Registrar & Database Manager is responsible for supporting the academic planning of Brockton School and the oversight of all database systems across the school. The Academic Registrar & Database Manager maintains the student information database, the Admissions and Enrollment database, and the Development database and ensures the proper flow of information between each.
Expectations include, but are not limited to:
Timetabling & Scheduling
- Maintains current data entry of student course selections
- Assists with and updates timetable information as required
- Prepares documents relating to the master timetable
- Create and maintain all courses, subjects, FTE, credits and timetable in the student information system (SIS) MySchool.
Ministry of Education and Student Records
- Confidentially manage student files and archives, both manually and electronically, according to prescribed documentation and retention standards
- Manage and oversee all student records in keeping with accordance of the Ministry of Education guidelines and practices
- Assists in the coordination of the events and activities during the school year
- Monitors Ministry of Education communication (for example, the Ministry’s e-Board and the Deputy Minister’s Bulletin) and supports the distribution of relevant information to the directors and principals as required
- Provides leadership and administrative support for accreditation visits and Ministry of Education evaluations, including the creation of self-study reports and required responses to the appropriate agency in a timely manner, as required
- Gathers and analyzes information required for administrative action and reporting to the Ministry of Education, the Federation of Independent School (FISA), the Independent Schools Association of British Columbia (ISABC) and the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS)
- Responsible for Ministry Reporting of the 1601, 1602, 1701, TRAX, Assessment Registration, Transcripts, and ES Audit
- Updates all Ministry student transcripts including the submission of all required marks to the Ministry (TRAX)
- Is responsible for the receipt and distribution of the Dogwood diploma and graduating students record retention.
- Request Student records from previous schools for new students. Send student records to other schools of students who have left our school.
Data Management
- Overseeing the use of all database systems in the School
- Working with, and bridging gaps between various database software
- Overseeing all data entry to ensure accuracy
- Managing the MySchool database, including:
- Entering all information including new families
- All registrar related duties as outlined above
- Roll over the school every year
- Maintenance and troubleshooting as required
- Managing the DonorPerfect database, including:
- Entering pledges and gifts
- Creating tax receipts and thank you letters
- Producing weekly and monthly reports for Finance, Head of School, and Board
- Writing business processes and procedures
- Managing the School Admin database, including:
- Creating forms and managing communication system
- Insuring accurate data entry and reporting
- Pulling and analyzing data metrics and strategic recommendations

Brockton School is currently seeking a Senior School Career Education Teacher to help us in our mission to inspire the growth of outstanding humans.
As part of the Senior School staff, the teacher will work collaboratively with members of the Brockton IB MYP, DP, and CP teams, and with other members of Faculty/Staff. As a member of the teaching team, this teacher will report to the Divisional Director and IB CP Coordinator. This teacher may teach a combination of Career-Life Education, Career Life Connections, and support Career Education from Grades 6-9. Additionally, if the candidate has requisite skills in the area, they may also support our post-secondary counselling team and IB Career-related Programme (IBCP).
