Ms. Shannon Leggett has been an educator for 30 years, at public and independent schools on the North Shore, and abroad at the International School of Prague, CZ. Her objective is to teach and collaborate with students in authentic, innovative ways that try to be interactive and relevant to students’ lives. Shannon is a DP History examiner, teacher training workshop leader, and one of the co-authors of one of the companion textbooks to the course. She is a co-author and contributor to the new BC SS6, SS7, and SS9 textbooks and course companion materials. She also works with CIVIX to organize the Student Vote at Brockton, and develop digital media literacy tools to be used by Brockton, schools across Canada, and internationally. Shannon has played a large role in the communities of the schools she has worked at including being a sports and improv coach, MUN sponsor, and developing various new activities and courses, such as starting film programs at two schools. She looks forward to continuing to learn from and with those in Brockton’s community.
