Having grown up in B.C. and with a first job as a ski instructor at the age of 16, Mr. Angus Johnston has a firmly established love of outdoors and teaching. Having completed a Diploma in Outdoor Leadership and spent a few years guiding in rafting, sea kayaking, hiking, biking, and team building, Angus turned his sights to the University of Victoria for their Earth and Ocean Science program. He graduated from the program with a major in physics and minor in math and continued into the post-degree teacher education program for those specialties. Now as a growing teacher with a few years experience in Outdoor Experiential Education, Design, Math and the IB program, he continues to enjoy teaching and loves combining technology with inquiry and student creativity. His focus while teaching is helping students feel able to perform, comfortable to challenge, and interested to pursue no matter what the topic. He recently moved back to the coast and is looking forward to skiing, year-round running, and becoming a part of the Brockton community!
