Mr Gareth Pritchard completed the IB DP program at the British School of Houston, before heading to Texas State University where he completed his degree with a major in Mathematics and a minor in Education. After teaching for approximately 2 years in Texas, Gareth went back to Scotland where he grew up to do a Master’s in Applied Math at the University of Dundee (where he focused on the magnetic fields of the sun) with the intention of becoming an engineer. However, his passion for teaching drew him back to Texas where he continued to teach for 3 more years. During this time Gareth was scouted by the Canadian Rugby 7’s coach Damian McGrath to play for the Canadian maple leafs in Langford in 2017. In 2019 Gareth moved to Canada on a permanent basis and attended VIU where he received his B.Ed and BC teaching certificate in Feb 2021. He was then hired by VIU to teach math in their adult education program before moving to North Vancouver to teach at Brockton.
