Congratulations, Olivia!
Olivia began her Brockton journey back in Kindergarten, and has been an incredible community member ever since. As a true Brockton “lifer,” she has many early memories, including the very first class introductions with her twin brother, Ben (class of ‘24), by her side. Olivia feels that Brockton has inspired her to work hard, and that her teachers’ commitment to education has fostered a genuine love for learning.
Olivia attributes her interest in history studies to her dedicated teacher Ms. Legget, who first taught her in Grade 10 and continued inspiring her during her Grade 11 Genocide Studies class. These learning opportunities fueled her passion for a future career in social justice, where she aims to actively contribute to addressing these world issues. Olivia was a member of the Community Action Team for Health and Wellbeing (CAT-HW), and is the co-founder of the Brockton Film Club. Her advice for the younger students is to cherish each moment with your friends. Olivia also believes in the importance of cultivating strong connections with teachers, as it is important to have supportive individuals to trust and rely on.
Next year, Olivia will attend a Canadian university to pursue a business degree, aiming to specialize in business management. She has big dreams of establishing her own company in the future, and we can’t wait to see her dreams come true. Brockton wishes you all the best, Olivia!
