CULTURE OF GIVING

Our Brockton community today benefits from the vision, courage, dedication, and commitment of our founding families and our community members of the past. The future of Brockton School now lies in the hands of our existing community of families and friends.

As an Independent School and a not-for-profit organization (with charity status), Brockton relies on the continued generosity of our families and friends to pursue its mission: To Inspire the Growth of Outstanding Humans!

From Annual Fund gifts that make an immediate impact in the classrooms, to support for our Capital Development projects and Major Gifts, your donations help to ensure a bright future for Brockton and our students. At Brockton we ask all of our families and friends to give to the capacity with which they are able so that, like those before us, we may continue to inspire the growth of outstanding humans in contribution to a better world.

ANNUAL FUND CAMPAIGN

Join the Brockton community this fall during the annual fund campaign – We look forward to your support!

Brockton School is not only a recognized leader in educating and inspiring the growth of outstanding humans but Brockton is also registered as a not-for-profit society with charitable status.

The financial structure of independent schools like Brockton is such that while tuition/fees cover the costs of the Brockton essentials, GIVING to the School allows it (and the many people it touches) to progress in additional exceptional ways. In fact, it is through vehicles like Brockton School’s Annual Fund Campaign that the school has been able to create many of the opportunities that exist today including, but certainly not limited to things like: campus and facility developments; the robust financial aid program; technology tools and infrastructure; professional development; furniture and transportation; specialized experiential learning opportunities; and more.  All of these initiatives contribute to the fulsome Brockton experience that is so valued.

Brockton School’s Annual Fund Campaign is an important engagement for which our entire Brockton community can, and do, participate in each year. It is our request that as a community we come together with 100% participation. Every donation, no matter the size, is appreciated and valued.

May we remember that as a part of the Brockton community, we are able to benefit from the contributions of families that came before us, and this is our opportunity to continue this exceptional legacy.

CAPITAL AND MAJOR GIVING

Brockton School was founded by families and has grown to what it is today largely because of the commitment and generosity of families and friends. While the Annual Fund is a key aspect of the school’s Giving program, Major Gifts have always been a valued and significant aspect of the school’s existence. As we look to the next chapter in the school’s history and the strong position of the School in so many regards, the Giving program will be welcoming a long awaited Capital Campaign that will support Brockton’s interim and long term campus development/procurement! Stay tuned for more details on this special campaign!

With respect to Major Gifts, at our founding when we needed to get our school off the ground, our founders – Brockton families and friends – were there. When we needed a new music room, a Brockton family was there. When we needed a new staff room and student bathrooms, a Brockton family was there. When we needed a new bus, a Brockton family was there. When we needed resources to support inclusive participation in our fee based extended programs, a Brockton family was there. In fact, families and friends of Brockton have given Major Gifts that have touched so many aspects of our development.

EVENTS

Brockton School loves to host community-related events and we have the best community ever with whom to celebrate! In addition to the amazing friend/fun-raising work of the Brockton Parent Committee (BPC), there are some significant giving-related events including our Gala and our Golf Tournament.

Note: as with most successful ventures at Brockton, most often our Brockton Parent Committee (BPC)  is meaningfully involved in the running of these events.

The Brockton Gala invites parents, staff, alumni, and adult friends to connect and celebrate our amazing school. Our community supports the Gala in several ways: volunteering on the Gala Planning Committee; offering or soliciting sponsorship of the event; donating or soliciting the donation of items for the Gala auction; and of course purchasing auction items at the event. Funds raised at the Gala go towards our Annual Fund goals/projects.

The Brockton Golf Tournament and Dinner is another great opportunity for parents, staff, alumni, and adult friends to connect and celebrate our school. There is room for the avid golfers and also the non-golfers with many roles and activities for all.
